CURCUMA AROMATICA OIL (KASTHURI MANJAL)

The curcuma aromatica plant is said to have been used as early as 4000 years ago as  medicinal substance as well as a spiritual and ceremonial object. The Essential Oil derived from steam distilled Turmeric rhizomes, which are sometimes referred to as root stalks, can be applied similarly, while its warm, earthy, woody aroma can even yield more benefits. . Curcuma aromatica belongs to the family Zingiberaceae. The major constituents of Curcuma aromatica root oil are reported to be camphor, curzerenone, α-turmerone, ar-turmerone and 1,8-cineole  Curcuma aromatica root oil is also suggested to have antibacterial activity.
